Since the GSm trend, A new attitude has evolved in Nigerians. Nigerians have gotten more and more dependent on others for "osho". For those of you Psychedelics that do not know what Osho means, it refers to free things. Since mobile telephony became relatively affordable, nigerians now rely on the mobile form of communication. Most people have an ostentatious taste for expensive phones. those with cameras, mp3 players and all the lot. Some dont even think about the running cost of these phones. its doesn't just end at buying a phones. you'll have to use the phone to make calls, send data, and the rest and all these cost money. A survey showed that 95% of the mobile telephone users rely on the the the pre-paid package.i.e load you phone with refill recharge cards. And when they dont have the means to buy these recharge card, they think up a prey to pounce upon. its might be an unsuspecting uncle, or aunt that just called to find out about their well being, an old friend, a distant relation, an elder brother,(for girls) a toaster, a boyfriend the list goes on and on. Right now it’s a norm, I hate it when people start to bug me with calls for credit. Can you imagine that even small me isn’t spared. Recently out of my own volition, I sent my brothers recharge cards(without their having to ask). Then the younger of the two sent me a funny thank you text, I must tell you the truth that text really touched my heart. If I had my way I will probably send him credit every day so that I can get that kinda text. Hey bro! Not to worry you gonna get more from me.
